Master Colorist, Stylist and Barber Jennifer Miranda
Every time a guest sits in master colorist, stylist and barber Jennifer Miranda’s salon chair, her goal is to provide a service that leaves them feeling confident about their appearance. Her extensive experience includes L’Oreal, Tom Ford and Wella and Barber, but her time at Encore Boston Harbor has allowed her to perfect her approach to beauty through an elevated-service environment. Outside of her work at Encore Boston Harbor, Jennifer finds her inspiration in cultural and contemporary arts and fashion.
“As a hair professional, I love to educate guests on how to maintain the integrity of the hair and guide them in the right direction to achieve their desired goals,” said Miranda.
Lead Nail Technician Van Nguyen
With a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, The Salon’s lead nail technician, Van Nguyen, worked a weekday office job for many years. However, on the weekends he could be found following his passion as a nail technician in Downtown Boston. When Encore Boston Harbor opened in June of 2019, he decided to leave accounting to follow this dream full-time. He joined the property and Salon’s opening team and has been a guest favorite ever since.
“My goal is to make guests feel happier and healthier,” said Nguyen. “It is like magic, like a journey and an experience to always exceed their expectations.”

Are walk-ins allowed?
Reservations are recommended but walk-in reservations are available; treatment accommodations are based on availability. An appointment can be made at The Spa reception desk, or by calling our reservations line at (857) 770-3900 in advance.
Where is The Salon located within the property? Are there parking options available?
The Salon at Encore Boston Harbor is located on the third floor. Utilize the hotel elevators to access the spa level. Yes, you can opt to use self-parking or you can valet your car. For more parking information, please click here. If you opt to self-park, we recommend using the Resort South or Resort East entrances as they are closest to the hotel elevators.
I need to cancel an appointment, how can I do so?
Please call The Spa directly at (857) 770-3900 to cancel or reschedule your appointment. As a courtesy to all, we ask our guests to kindly give a 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment to avoid the 50% cancellation fee. For cancellations with less than 6 hours and no-show notification, guests will be charged 100% of the treatment fee.
Can I use my phone or iPad once entered The Salon?
We strive to provide our guests with a tranquil and private escape from the outside world. Please help us by turning off cell phones, personal electronic devices and cameras upon entering The Spa or The Salon.
How early can I come to The Salon for my appointment?
For The Salon, please arrive five minutes prior to the start of your scheduled appointment. Late arrivals will be subject to reduced treatment times.
Can I use my COMPDOLLARS at The Spa or The Salon?
We accept COMPDOLLARS for all Spa and Salon services and retail. COMPDOLLARS cannot be used towards gratuities.
What age do I have to be to use The Salon?
You must be of 18 years of age or older to use The Salon on your own, or need to come accompanied by a guardian if you are between 8 and 17.
What do I wear at The Spa? Is a bathing suit required to use the heat and water facilities?
Robes and slippers are provided for your convenience. Professional draping is performed throughout your treatment. A bathing suit is required to use the heat and water facilities.
Can I use The Spa heat and water facilities if I have Salon services?
The heat and water facilities is included only for guests having Spa services and is not included with Salon services.
Are there couple’s or coed areas at the Spa?
The heat and water facilities are gender designated for male and female guests with their individual relaxation areas. There is a coed tranquility lounge where couples’ can enjoy each other’s company before their treatments. The Spa offers couple’s treatments in our shared couple’s room as an upgrade option.
Can I use The Salon if I am not staying at Encore Boston Harbor?
Yes. The Salon is available for non-resort guests to make reservations.
What if I’m allergic to certain products?
Please advise us of any allergies so that we may use products that are appropriate for you.
Can I make a hair color appointment the same day without consultation if I haven’t been there before?
A consultation and strand color test is always recommended as sometime the expectations of a requested color can fall into a color correction category that may need more time and more sessions in order to achieve the desired result and at the same time maintain the health and integrity of your hair.
Can I bring the color formula of my current stylist if I want my color done at Encore?
Absolutely. Please know we work with L’Oréal colors and although we welcome guests coming requesting their existing formulas, we recommend you letting us know in advance so we can make sure we have it on stock.
